Mafa TD Queen is a custom map made in Warcraft 3. Its a game that can be played individually or cooperatively upto 11 players whose main objective is to create towers to kill the creeps coming out before it reaches the portal like many other tower defense games.
Initially you and your entire team will be given 40 lives meaning you have 40 chances of being spared and not allowing the creeps to pass by the portal to finish the game. You'll be given the chance to create a Technology Tower which can be upgraded twice to reach Level 3 and create towers to defend and later on have the chance to summon custom builders and heroes to help you with defending your base.
Currently, the most famous version being played is version 4.5 Ultra Hard which features three modes: Hard, Extra Hard and Ultra Hard. After choosing the difficulty, you can customarily type -reveal to reveal the entire map to you and your allies. Take note that the player assigned with the Red color will be in charge of the middle which is a very important position in the game and which also has the priviledge of extra money.

- Cutter Tower
- Tower of Vengeance
- Flame Tower
- Ice Tower
- Poison Tower
- Lightning Tower
- Arrow Tower
- Super Splash Tower
- Super Damage Tower
- Elfame Keep
- Gaia Tower
- NecroMonger Tower
- Gaia Shop
- Pirate Tower
Lightning tower is specifically required to upgrade your Technology Center whle Poison tower can be upgraded to Noob Furion to increase the chances of gold returned to you so you can have more money to be spent. Cutter towers are fast and often built by those allies near the base since it is a fast creep killer.
While these towers help you defend your base, chances are you need the help of these four non-hero characters that you can summon aside from your builder. Aside from building, these characters have specific purposes:
- Fujiko - is able to see invisible units.
- Pirate of the Greedy Queen - capable of building the Pirate tower and stunning ground units.
- Naga Summon Maiden - has a net and whisper capability to disable air units while stun for ground units.
- Mr. Freaks - capable of creating the portal to summon the Brilliant Goddess and other special towers specifically Gaia tower, NecroMonger tower and the Gaia Shop.
Of course, nothing beats a movable, item-equipped character who damages like a tower and upgrades your towers into specific builds. Sad thing though, you can only summon a single hero in the game. Even if you activate the food cheat in single player mode, you won't be able to summon all of them in a single game. So choose wisely.

Warcraft Patch 1.24 and the future of DotA
Warcraft patch 1.24 has been released. Every previous version of DotA won't work on the latest patch that's why IceFrog is now preparing for the new version to work on the latest patch. This will be the start of the patch upgrades of all the DotA players as well as the LAN shop owners to the latest patch because the new version will definitely only work on 1.24. In addition to this, the map size limit upgrade from 4mb to 8mb is a huge help for IceFrog since newer heroes and additional gameplay requires additional space on the map.
We've seen a lot of changes recently in the game. Lots of remade skills for old heroes and new heroes were added at the same time. But still, the latest stable map is 6.59d. While many of us have welcomed the recent changes, a few others still play 6.59d. And since this is the latest stable map, this is also the map being used most of the time in official tournaments. With this, I hope that there will be more gameplays and skills added to increase the uniqueness of each hero.

How to use Warcraft Version Switcher
Warcraft Version Switcher allows you to have multiple versions of Warcraft without having to install the game multiple times. Why is there a need to do so? Well, there are various reasons on why I think gamers use this but some of the reasons are as follows:
1. Playing in different Garena rooms. Currently in the Philippines, Warcraft patch 1.20, which is probably the oldest most used patch these days, is needed to be able to play in the pubs. So if you want to downgrade to 1.20, you need to use Warcraft Version Switcher.
2. Watching custom map replays. Tournament games are always played with the latest available patch of Warcraft and you won't be able to watch replays of these games if your patch version is older than theirs. Sometimes, when you had a good game in Garena, you also save your own games and watch the replays and chances are it has a different version than that of the tourney games.
3. Avoiding maphacks. With Warcraft patch 1.23 and the upcoming release of 1.24, the majority of the update is on the custom map maphacks. These versions allows the game to detect differences between originally made custom maps and those that are "purposely" modified to inject cheats in the game.
Installation Procedures:
1. Back to the installation, just download and extract Warcraft Version Switcher in any of your folders.
2. Search for zipped files of the Warcraft patches preferably 1.20 to 1.23. You need these zipped files instead of the downloadable executable files because it contains the following files:
Game.dll, Storm.dll, War3.exe and War3Patch.mpq
3. You don't need to extract these patches on your local drive. Just store them in the WVS folder of your Warcraft Version Switcher.
4. Lastly, open the wvs.exe. Click the Switch version and choose the patch you want to use by double-clicking it. Open the Reign of Chaos or Frozen Throne icon on the right part of WVS.
5. After the game launches, verify the patch version on the lower right side of the screen. This is the version of the Warcraft patch you have chosen. Have fun!

Element Tower Defense

Aside from Defense of the Ancients All-Stars, Tower Defense games such as Element Tower Defense have been quite popular in Garena. Tons of Garena players are still playing Warcraft not because of its long-term support thru patches but because of custom-made maps. And in this article, we feature a bit of trivia about Element Tower Defense - a Warcraft custom-made map.
Unlike DoTA wherein multiplayer is required (well, for now IceFrog's also keeping the map with AI available at getdota.com) and a series of complex item building, strategy between players and attracts attention because of the competitive level, you can play this map by simply creating a game, choosing the map and voila you can actually play it by yourself.
Although I have just played it thrice in Garena along with my friends, it is quite a stress-free game with only one purpose - defend yourself by creating towers. There are six elements in which the gameplay revolves into - Fire, Nature, Earth, Wind, Light and Darkness. At first, there are the basic towers - Arrow and Cannon to help you defend from mediocre enemies. Then, after every 5 levels, a lumber is rewarded to you. In this way, you can summon an enemy with a particular elemental type you have to defend to. Successfully killing it would automatically lend their powers to you. There are five levels for each type of elements. After you've successfully defended yourself from the first level, you will automatically be able to summon the next level elemental - assuming you have a lumber available.
The gameplay reaches its peek when you have successfully defended yourself from 60 waves of creeps plus the elementals you've summoned. Once at level 60, guess who you'll be defending yourself from? Ronald McDonald! The game goes on until you have ran out of lives from defending yourself. In actuality, Ronald will keep on getting stronger until you can't defend yourself from him anymore.
Multiplayer
Basically, there are eight slots available for the multiplayer mode. In this mode, players just have to successfully defend themselves. Once their lives are over, the winner will be determined by the number of kills he had from his tower defense.
